Yes, we do!

We love getting invited to weddings. Typically, this kind of event isn't likely to draw a lot of interest to most of us, particularly to the young. Let me just say, Luis' interest to it boils down to the sumptuous feast (anything fit to be eaten actually tickles his fancy), the dancing (as a form of release against my rather rigid constraints), and of course, it being a time away from study period at home. My interest is gripped from the moment i get my hands on those elegant, each uniquely well thought-off wedding invites. I just get too excited about it. This level of excitement shoots up - whether i get the invite 6 weeks from the date, or just 2 days to go, my mind is excessively preoccupied with it! The dress code, total grooming, hair style, the best shoes to wear, etc. In brief, I just want us to look stand-out perfect. Get a glimpse of our latest. And modesty aside, i say, YES! WE DID!

Cruise for you!

We were in deep thought seeking about an adventure me and Luis have yet to experience. We have flown over 1500 miles to visit a few Asian Countries, and over 6,000 miles to explore some parts of  Europe. Admit it. It is in the very nature of every Filipino this insatiable curiosity to see what's on the other side of the world.

But it dawned on us one day...why not embrace our own for a change? Not that we were trying to be nationalistic and patriotic, nor interested in exalting our beloved Philippines (trying to cut the mustard and wipe out the guilt here). We just felt that it's about time. "Let's board Manila Bay cruise!"

Wrapped with excitement, we were early at the dock for our very first cruise adventure to witness one of the most breathtaking sunsets of the world. It was sheer pleasure to say the least! Watching the sun go down at the Baywalk was entrancing enough, but to watch while on the upper deck of a 'mini' ship was something else. The boat also have seats on the upper deck, where you can not only savor the view of the sunset, but also listen to the music provided by a live band.

Indeed, even the most mundane things seem exceptional when cast in a different light, and while the setting of the sun is an everyday occurrence, viewing it while on a Manila Bay sunset cruise allows you to see it for what it really is: a resplendent aerial show at par with the other tourist attractions in the other side of the world.

Oh Snow in Oslo!

It was not New York State nor Thompson Pass, but it's definitely one of the snowiest cities in the world. Our first encounter with snow happened in the first quarter of 2010 in Oslo, Norway. Fluffy snow, powder snow, sticky snow..whatever one may call it, it was an experience worth shivering every time recalled.

One of Norway's most visited tourist attractions, the Holmenkollen Ski Jump- rebuilt for the 2011 Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo. The new state-of-the-art ski jump features the world's oldest Ski Museum and an observation deck with panoramic views of the city. If I remember it accurately, we took atleast 20 shots of souvenir pics in here, just like a true blue tourists.

This was taken just across our Philippine Embassy in Oslo, after our courtesy call with our Honorable Ambassador.

Fram Museum - The Polar Ship Fram. Fram is the strongest wooden ship ever built and still holds the records for sailing farthest north and farthest south. At the Fram Museum you can come on board the ship and see how the crew and their dogs lived and managed to survive in the coldest and most dangerous places on earth - the Arctic and the Antarctic.

Luis enjoyed the snow so much he even wished to live here :)

More pics coming out soon.....

Miss Thai

One of our adventures in Southeast Asia.It was a sea, sand and sun 4-day adventure in one of the most affluent part of Thailand, where most of the best beaches and exciting tourist destinations could be found - Pattaya.
This Sea Sand Sun Resort where we stayed in is a luxurious resort and spa which transcends the ordinary. It is surrounded by the perfect spots, with 60-room boutique-style masterpieces. So elegant are the comfort settings of its own finest tropical Bali garden, complemented by 27 over-sized stand-alone private pool villas suite, garden suite w/ jacuzzi, all the works. But of course, the most impressive of all -the beach- its crowning glory.

Big Buddha and one of Thai's Museum's uniqe architecture.

Thailand's famous 'tuktuk'.

Floating Market. A lot of affordable stuff here.

The fame of Tiffany's Show was undeniable. It's the most recommended tourist destination of Thailand's most popular resort city.

The Nong Nooch Paradise, The Tropical Botanical Garden and the Butterfly Hill.

Thai history. Culture. Muay Thai.

The intelligent elephant show at The Elephant Village. We had fun riding on them. We needed to hold our breath though.

Possibly the greatest display of elephant and trainer cooperation in the world. Elephant painted shirts below.

Luis and I had an extra-ordinary and unique experiences and memories.... we both missed Thai!
